The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I graduated from Penn State in 1969, served for a year as a VISTA volunteer in rural Oklahoma, then returned for my masters degree. I worked as an energy/minerals economist for Battelle Memorial Institute and Allis-Chalmers Corporation until the early 1980s. I then moved to Virginia and spent five years as a professor of economics at Ferrum College. For the past 20 years I have worked with my wife, Susan Loy, to build a small business located on our Virginia farm. Susan is an artist and calligrapher, and we exhibit Literary Calligraphy at arts and crafts festivals throughout the eastern United States. We have a web site www.LiteraryCalligraphy.com and you can read my blog at www. LiteraryCalligraphyBlogs.com. It's definitely been a cool life.
